Concerts at the BioPark

Zoo Music showcases regional, national and international talent playing a variety of music, including country Latin rock, Afro-Cuban, Celtic, bluegrass, Cajun and pop-rock.

Summer Nights musical concerts highlight local and regional talent in the beautiful ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden.

Go Wild! Benefit Concerts feature well-known artists. Past performers include Ziggy Marley, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Chris Isaak and Leon Russell.

Mother's Day Concert at the Zoo is included with regular admission and features the New Mexico Philharmonic.

Father's Day Fiesta at the Zoo includes Latin music, local businesses and prize giveaways.

Rock the Boat: Sustainable Seafood Festival - Sample eco-friendly seafood dishes prepared by some of Albuquerque’s premier restaurants.

River of Lights Holiday Light Festival
Through January 5

Kids’ Fishing Fair
A fun, free day of fishing for children ages 4-12. Learn all about fishing at interactive Discovery Stations. NM law requires that 12 year-olds have a fishing license.

March Madness Flower Show
The Mediterranean Conservatory will be blooming, regardless of the mad weather outside, with colorful delphiniums, lilies and African streptocarpus.

National Quilting Day
Celebrate National Quilting Month with an exhibition of handmade quilts and antique sewing machines, along with demonstrations.

Backyard Garden Train Show

Spring Break Camp
For the week of Spring Break, come on an adventure at the BioPark with tours, games and fun activities. Open to children ages 9 – 11. Reservations required.

Earth Day Celebration
Learn how our actions matter when it comes to helping animals and plants around the world. Discovery stations and hands-on activities at the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden and Tingley Beach.

Children’s Seed Festival
Celebrate the connections between seeds, plants and humans with some "seed-happy" people during this annual event at the Children’s Fantasy Garden. Co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Albuquerque.

Orchid Show and Sale
Hundreds of enchanting orchids fill the Mediterranean Conservatory and Garden Showroom. Presented by the New Mexico Orchid Guild.

Run for the Zoo
Run, walk or stroll in the New Mexico BioPark Society’s annual fundraiser. Half-marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile races. Tickets: Vary, pre-registration required.

Bonsai Show
Celebrate Mother’s Day with our final spring show. Miniature piñon, juniper and mahogany trees decorate the Showroom. Presented by the Albuquerque Bonsai Club.

Mother’s Day at the Zoo
Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Zoo with music and special “Zoo Moms” discovery stations and a concert by the New Mexico Philharmonic. Lawn seating.

Rock the Boat Sustainable Seafood Festival
Sample delicious and eco-friendly seafood prepared by Albuquerque’s finest restaurants. Enjoy music under the stars, cooking demos, wine sampling and education stations at this fundraiser that sells out every year!

National Fishing Day
NO LICENSE REQUIRED FOR THIS DAY ONLY! Enjoy special activities and discovery stations from 9 a.m. - noon. Fishing ponds open as usual from sunrise-sunset.

Roar and Snore at the Zoo
Girl Scouts learn about conservation efforts and have time to explore the Zoo, as they earn the Roar and Snore patch. Pre-registration required through Girl Scouts of Chaparral Council.

Father’sDay Fiesta
Bring Dad to listen to great Latin music and have a wildtime for Dia de los Padres! Tickets: Included withadmission.

Pollinator Festival
Learn about the fascinating jobs of bees, birds, bats, beetles, butterflies and other important pollinators.

Dragonfly Festival

Feast with the Beasts
A special thank you to BioPark Members. This fun evening features music, magicians and face painting. Members-only event.

Bosque Moonlight Hikes
Travel with us to Tingley’s ponds and the nearby wetlands to look for bats, hoot for owls and search for other nocturnal animals. Reservations required.

Zoo Boo
Safe trick-or-treating at our 26th Annual Zoo Boo. Games, candy, kid’s costume contests and more. Park & ride available from Aquarium/Botanic Garden. Co-sponsored by KISS-FM. Four children in costume free with one paying adult.

7th Annual Rio Grande Cup Regatta
Watch model boats race around the pond at Tingley Beach in this special race. Presented by the Duke City Model Yacht Club.
